AMEX Paid Off!
I have now paid off my Amercian Express card. $255 and WHAM! Scared you? Sorry about that. Wham! My Amex card is now paid off. Can I say that again? Wham! My American Express card is now paid off.
Midway through May, pushed by the fair winds of determination and the helpful $600 gust from our Federal governement, I will have completed paying off my CREDIT CARDS.
All of them.

Great Job on paying off your credit cards. I have been reading your blog for a couple of weeks and I am inspired by your determination to become debt free. I have also just paid off the last of my credit cards. My student debt is very close to what yours is at. I am still in school and I want to pay down as much as possible before the interest rates kick in. I look forward to learning from your experiences and shadowing your financial success as much as I can.

Thanks SS, I appreciate the support! Remember that while it's important to get school loans paid off, step one (which I'm finally struggling through, so it's a little hypocritical of me to give this advice) is to get an emergency fund up and running. Put a few hundred aside, and then start the laborious task of getting your debt squared away. Oh, and don't go out and buy the nicest car you can afford on the first day of your new job. God did we all make that mistake!
